This series of photographs was taken inside our one-bedroom apartment in Queens, New York. After moving to New York from Israel I have found myself shifting my misgivings and doubts into the bare space that served as the last privet spot within the urban jungle. A mixture of memories from the Israeli army service period, the alienated environment and the intimate relationship with my wife Liran, was seeping into my awareness.
In the background of this series stands the anxiety of an inevitable clash between past and present, an apprehension that a threat is in the air.
